Welcome to The Discovery House, a family-owned and operated Early Learning Centre. We are dedicated to fostering curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love for learning for children aged 2 to 5 years.
With a warm, nurturing environment and a daily capacity of just 39 children across two classrooms, we focus on creating a community where each child feels valued, understood, and encouraged to explore their world.
Our experienced and stable team of educators are mothers, bringing not only their expertise in Early Childhood Education but also the empathy, patience, and insight that comes from parenting. We are dedicated to being a consistent source of care and growth for your child.

OUR TEAM
Our team is one of our greatest strengths. All of our educators are highly qualified in early childhood education and are passionate about working with children. All of our educators are also mothers, which adds to the empathy and understanding they bring to their work.
We value long-term relationships with our families, so you’ll always see the same faces at drop-off and pick-up. This continuity enhances communication, trust, and partnerships between families and our team.

OUR ENVIRONMENT
We are nestled in a residential area of Castle Hill. Situated on a one acre block, we are fortunate to be surrounded by the natural environment and embrace this in our Education Program.
Our homely classrooms will make your child feel at ease and your family welcome!
Our outdoor spaces are equally important, with nature play and open-ended experiences that encourage physical activity and creativity.
OUR EDUCATION
We follow a structured, play-based educational program designed to cater to each child’s individual needs, interests, and developmental stage. Our curriculum is informed by the Early Years Learning Framework and is focused on school readiness, helping children develop the skills they need for a successful transition to school.
Our approach is child-centred, ensuring that learning is not only educational but also fun and engaging. We prioritise emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development, promoting a well-rounded foundation for lifelong learning.
Bumble Bees (2-3 years): Our Bumble Bee program emphasises sensory exploration and foundational skills that support physical coordination, language development, and social interaction.
Lady Bugs (Preschool) Program: Designed to prepare children for school, this program incorporates early literacy and numeracy activities, problem-solving exercises, and group projects that build social skills, independence, and resilience.
